Client Statuses

Client statuses help you organize your customer portfolio for more detailed reporting.

Client statuses help organize and sort your clients on a macro-level, track prospects, account sizes (tier 1, tier 2, etc.), and inactive accounts.

How to create client statuses

To create a client status:

  1. Click your Profile icon (top right corner of commonsku) > Settings > Company Settings
  2. Click the Setup section
  3. Click the Statuses tab > Client Statuses in the pop-up window
  4. Click + Add New
  5. Type the status name in the text field
  6. Click Add

Users with permission to Manage users, billing, and company settings will be able to make adjustments to client statuses.

How to edit client statuses

To edit a client status:

  1. Click your Profile icon (top right corner of commonsku) > Settings > Company Settings
  2. Click the Setup section
  3. Click the Statuses tab > Client Statuses in the pop-up window
  4. Click into the text field of the status you'd like to change and update it as needed

How to delete client statuses

To delete a client status:

  1. Click your Profile icon (top right corner of commonsku) > Settings > Company Settings
  2. Click the Setup section
  3. Click the Statuses tab > Client Statuses in the pop-up window
  4. Click the image-png-Sep-14-2022-05-43-19-10-PM icon beside the client status you'd like to remove
  5. Click Delete in the pop-up window

How to assign a client status

You can set a client's status by using the:

To assign a status through the Clients tab:

  1. In the Sales > Clients tab, search for and select the client you'd like to assign a status to
  2. In the slide-out menu, click Actions > Edit Details
  3. Select a status from the "Status" drop-down menu
  4. Click Save

 

To assign a status on the client's page:

  1. On the client's page > client details, click Edit
  2. Select a status from the "Status" drop-down menu
  3. Click Save

To import a list of client statuses:

  1. Download an import template
  2. Enter the client names in column A and the status(es) in column W
  3. Email the template to support@commonsku.com

You must create the client statuses before adding them through the Clients tab, client page, or client import.

Client status reporting is available on the Sales Target Report and Mailing List Report.
