Status

A presentation can have one of three statuses:

  1. Open is the default status. It means you're actively working on the presentation form. A presentation in Open status will not appear in the project portal
  2. Client Review means the presentation has been submitted to your client from commonsku. A presentation will not appear in the project portal until it is in Client Review status or further.
  3. Converted means the presentation was converted to an estimate/sales order, this is an automatic update.
  4. Closed means the presentation did not result in business/your client has decided not to place an order. You can manually click the "Status" drop-down to change a presentation's status to Closed.

Presentation style

There are four different presentation styles to choose from:

  • Tiles style presents all products in a thumbnail view and is the default style for mobile devices. The comments are always visible as your clients toggle between a product's information, details, and images.
  • List style is a static document and is the default style for PDF presentations. All comments, images, and details are visible without your client needing to toggle between tabs.
  • Gallery style gives your client the option to toggle through products or click the ► icon for a slideshow. Hovering over an item shows the product name and pricing, then your client can click in for full product details and comments.
  • Smart Gallery style has the same functions as the Gallery style, but as a bonus, it allows your client to create a (new) sales order directly from their presentation form. The rep listed on the presentation will receive an email notification when the client places their order, and the Smart Gallery presentation will revert to the Gallery style. This style does not enforce minimum quantities or include shipping charges.

PresStyle

The List style is the default option for presentations sent as PDF attachments. The PDF is formatted to fit as many products as possible on a single page; however, products with a lot of detail may take up an entire page to themselves.

Expiry Date

You can set the presentation to expire (become unavailable) on a specific date. If your client attempts to view the presentation after that date, they will see the message "Unfortunately, your presentation has expired. If you have any questions regarding the presentation or if there is anything else we can help you with please contact your rep [rep name] at [rep email]."

Currency

This field determines the currency your client will see on their order and defaults on their client page's currency set. The best practice is to create separate commonsku clients account for each currency your client operates in; that keeps reporting clean inside commonsku and makes it easier to export to your accounting platform.
Feel free to contact support@commonsku.com if you have questions about multi-currency.
