Shop fees

Volume Tiered Fees per Shop

With the new pricing structure, shop fees are based on volume, so your effective rate decreases as your total shop sales increase. For each shop, the following tiers apply:

  • 2.5% on the first $25,000 in sales ((i.e., from $0 to $25,000)

  • 2% on sales between $25,000 and $50,000

  • 1.5% on sales between $50,000 and $100,000

  • 1% on sales above $100,000

Volume discounts are available for all users: Essentials, Advanced and Enterprise plans.

Shopify Integration Fee

There is a  1% fee charged on all Shopify imported checkouts

What are the Shop types and when fees are charged?

Because each shop type is used differently, the fee is applied at different stages of your workflow:

Pop-Up Shops

  1. Fee is charged at checkout.
  2. There is a 7-day grace period before the fee appears in your billing report.
  3. If the checkout is exported or aggregated within that window, the fee is captured immediately.

Company Shops

Fee is charged immediately at checkout, since checkouts are instantly converted to sales orders.

Marketing Shops

Fee is charged when an order is assigned to a client and converted to a sales order.

Shopify Connected Shops

  1. Fee is charged when the order is imported from Shopify.
  2. There is a 7-day grace period before the fee appears in your billing report.
  3. If the checkout is exported or aggregated within that window, the fee is captured immediately.

How fees are calculated for Pop-Up Shops?

For Pop-Up Shops, the fee is calculated on the higher of the client value or the retail value. Both values are calculated before shipping and tax (price × quantity only).

Retail value is the shopper-facing price, before any discounts.

Client value is your client’s wholesale price.

In many cases, the retail value will be higher. However, for free-item (giveaway) shops or pop-ups that use coupons, the client value is often higher. To ensure fairness, we compare:

(retail price discount coupon) vs. (client wholesale price)

The fee is then applied to whichever of these two values is higher.

You can choose to opt in to this new pricing structure any time after December 16. If you do not opt in by that date, the new pricing structure will automatically be applied to all accounts on February 1, 2026.

FAQ

Can I embed a shop on a website?

Yes, you can! Copy the shop's URL (in the Shop, click Actions > Preview Shop > copy the URL) and insert it into the website using an iFrame.

commonsku doesn't offer training on how to use/insert iFrames. Please refer to your website builder (WordPress, GoDaddy, etc.) or online tutorials for further instruction.

What happens when a sales order is deleted in a shop, will I receive a credit?

No. Once a sales order is generated, its value is captured and the associated fee is not credited back if the order is later deleted. For checkouts in a Pop up shop, however, you have a 7-day grace period to delete any unused checkouts before the fee is charged.
