August 2026 - Client Catalog
Every reorder starts with the same products. With Client Catalog, those products are now saved, configured, and waiting on the client's record, ready to use the moment you need them.
What's New
There is now a dedicated Catalog tab on every client record in commonsku, where fully configured products can be saved and reused across Presentations, Estimates, Sales Orders, and Invoices in a single click.
Available on Advanced and Enterprise plans only. Admins need to enable catalog permissions under Settings > Manage Users before their team can access the Catalog.
Why It Matters
If you have ever rebuilt the same product from scratch because you could not find the right version in an old order, Client Catalog is for you. Every product your client reorders lives in one place, fully configured and ready to go, so your reps spend less time searching and more time selling.
Each product in the catalog also gets its own unique identifier, called an External SKU. Think of it as a permanent label for that product, one that your client's warehouse, online store, and internal reporting all recognize. It means less guessing which version of a product was ordered last time, and not manually tracking that information outside of commonsku.
Once a product is published to the catalog, its configuration is locked. The product your client approved once stays exactly that way, every single time it gets reordered.
Getting Started
Admins, start here. Before your team can access the Catalog tab, permissions need to be enabled.
- Go to Settings > Manage Users.
- Click Actions > Set Permissions for each user.
- Enable View Catalog Items, Modify Unpublished Catalog Items, and/or Modify Catalog Items as needed.
Reps, here is how to build your first catalog.
- Go to Sales > Clients and open a client record.
- Click the Catalog tab.
- Add products from any supplier source, past orders, or existing projects.
- Enter the External SKU for each product (required before publishing).
- Publish the product. It is now available to pull into any Presentation, Estimate, Sales Order, or Invoice.

Two things to know before you get started. Shops are not connected to Client Catalog yet. And when a Presentation converts to an Estimate or Sales Order, the External SKU does not carry over automatically and will need to be reassigned.
