Personal comments
You can leave a personal comment to draw your client's attention to a product or to include additional details about the item.
To add a comment:
- Type your comment into the Personal Comment text field
- Click Post
You can add plain text or dress it up with HTML coding! Please note, iframes cannot be inserted into presentation comments.
Client comments
Clients can reply to your comments and add their own comments to products on the live presentation; they cannot comment on a PDF presentation. The reason being that PDF presentations are static documents, so while your clients can see comments you've made, they're not able to interact with the presentation form.
Email Notifications
The contact listed at the bottom of the presentation (determined by the Project Template) will receive an email notification whenever the client comments on the presentation. However, the client will not get an email notification if the rep replies to a comment they've made.
commonsku Tip: The best practice is to reply to your client's comment in the presentation; that way, the conversation is captured in the presentation and the Project Portal. Once you've responded to your client's comments, resend the presentation and mention that you've replied to their comments.
FAQ
How do I view my client's comments?
You can view comments by previewing the presentation (in the Presentation tab, click Actions > Preview Presentation), clicking to edit a product and referring to the comments section, or by viewing the project's portal. The rep's email notification contains the client's comment and the presentation's internal and external links for easy reference.
Can I delete a comment?
You can delete your team's comments on an item, but there's no way to remove a client's comment. To delete your comment, open the presentation > click to Edit the item > click the x beside the comment you'd like to remove.
