October 2026 - Custom Shop Domains

Put your own branded address on your commonsku Shops.

What's New

Custom Shop Domains let you connect your own web address to a commonsku Shop. Here's what that looks like:

                    shop.yourcompany.com

Shoppers visit a branded address instead of the standard commonsku shop URL. You still build and manage the shop in commonsku; only the address shoppers use changes.

Custom domains work with Pop-Up Shops, Company Shops, and Marketing Shops. They’re available on all commonsku plans, with no additional commonsku fee.

Why it Matters

  • Match the shop address to your brand or your client’s brand.
  • Share a cleaner link that’s easier to remember.
  • Give shoppers a more consistent branded experience.
  • Verify a domain once and use it for several shops, such as shop.yourcompany.com/summer-sale and shop.yourcompany.com/winter-sale.
  • Your original commonsku Shop link stays available, so links and bookmarks you’ve already shared keep working.

Getting Started

You’ll need a domain you already own and access to its DNS (Domain Name System) settings. If someone else manages your website, you may need their help. Any user with permission to create and manage shops can set it up:

  1. Open your shop and go to Shop Settings > General > Custom Domains.
  2. Enter the subdomain you want to use. Then add the DNS records commonsku provides to your domain provider.
  3. Return to Custom Domains and verify. Once the domain is verified, commonsku secures the connection with https://.
